STARTING SEPTEMBER 22: HIGH COUNTRY SINGERS

Kamloops' newest harmony choir, High Country Singers, begins its first session on Monday, September 22! This fun and friendly harmony choir will work on exciting popular, contemporary songs by artists such as The Mamas and The Papas, The Beach Boys, Neil Young, Emmylou Harris, Ron Sexsmith and many, many more of your favourite singers and songwriters. Most of the songs will be arranged by yours truly, and are fun and interesting to sing. We'll also be featuring gospel, bluegrass, folk and some wonderful swing and jazz tunes. Open to all levels, sight reading ability helpful but not required.

LOCATION: Hills of Peace Lutheran Church, 695 Robson Drive, in Aberdeen

DATES AND TIMES: 8 Mondays, beginning Monday, September 22, 7:30. (No class on Thanksgiving Monday or November 3.)

PERFORMANCE DATE: (tentatively) Saturday, November 22, 8:00 pm

REGISTRATION FEE: $100 for the fall session

COMING SOON: HARMONY SINGING BY EAR AFTERNOON WORKSHOP

This workshop is open to all singers who want to learn some of the tricks of the trade used by the best harmony singers - that is, those who do it naturally, by year. Open to all singers and FREE to members of High Country Singers. Tentative date for the workshop is Sunday, November 2, 1:30-4:30pm at Hills Of Peace Lutheran Church, 695 Robson Drive.
